- DB NSW states that all sweeps need to be 14+ in age ( by 31 dec in the year of the competition)
- minimum age 10 to race (or 9 turning 10 in the year of the race).
- drummer minimum age of 12 years of age by 31 dec in the year of the competition

- Page 16 of the DB sweep rules v12 states CR7.9 Competitors under 18s, drummers and sweeps must also wear a PFD at all times.
