His father is Russian/Ukranian born in Kiev but migrated to NZ as a child and now lives in Australia. And his mother is Philippino, born in the Phils and migrated here when she was 8.
The kid looks asian (for now). What a cute little potato. I do and don't miss the potato stage. I really struggled to see how a potato could grow into a thriving young little girl but now that I've experienced it -- I prefer the little girl. Even if she has a perchance for stealing things off counter tops that she shouldn't have, or wandering into the bathroom because someone left it open and talking the squidgee and putting it... in the living room ....
I want to bet that his classmates call him Boggy in the future.
2 yr old Ella came as well. And the two of them (Wendy and Ella) stared at the baby and looked at him curiously. Told them to be gentle and quiet. I asked Wendy "whose the baby?" and she patted her little belly (bless her) and when someone asked Ella who the baby is, she pointed to Bogdan. Lolz. Well.
The place I was applying for childcare at - finally got a spot - and I went to see it on Friday. I liked it a lot. I think Wendy liked it too but hard to say. She can walk and talk a bit now. It's probably time to try and cut the cord again. Once again with little prep - the first day is likely to be this Thursday. At 730am -- provided my boss is okay with me being 10 mins late -- (honestly what choice do I have) I plan to try and do the quickest but still there goodbye lasting no more than 5 mins and then dash 100 m down the road to work. I've already planned the escape- make sure my bag is not bulky so its easy to store away when I arrive.
See how we go. This place has lovely outdoor spaces and multi-levels of "outdoor"spaces too with enclosed veranda's and then not enclosed ones. The only big negative would be that it's right between very very busy roads so the traffic pollution coming from the road probably isn't good but they have fences and trees covering - and there is a fast food outlet between the actual intersection and the childcare (lolz). I don't intend to purchase an EV any time soon - but I can't wait for them to be a thing. "
