Bernadette's wedding

whitewriterI have been seriously unmotivated to post lately. I have a list of posts I've been meaning to write, but the moment I find time it's later in the day and if it's not something I have to do (like work) or something that requires zero effort (netflix) then it doesn't get done and before I know it, it's 8pm and that's bedtime.
My best time is the morning.
It's 5am and I just watched Bernadette -- an old primary school friend -- and her now husband (as of 10 mins ago) Bruno (whom I actually got to meet before all this covid stuff) get married in Canada on a live stream through facebook.
A bunch of us primary school people (Loc, Don, Linda and myself ...maybe John but we hypothesised that he got caught in his bow tie and it sent him into a sleep trance and that's why he isn't replying in the chat) actually got up to watch.
There were 20 people in the church all very spread out.
It was like getting up to watch lady Diana or Prince Harry getting married, 'cept instead this was a wedding I would have very much considered flying around the world to attend if Australians could even have considered going.
It's still lockdown over here- one that began in early July.
We are unvaccinated hostages - first it was extended to the end of August and on Friday it was extended further as case numbers went to 800-- to now end of September.
I'm just watching them sign the official papers now. -- looks much like centrelink forms in Australia -- So It's all done and dusted.
