So I jump from Prufrock's s1/2 Scully to Syntax6 season 6 Scully and -- -I have trouble transitioning.
It's the last one on this page
Don't you just love how Gossamer barely has any information on the fanfiction it archives. I wish it was possible to have randoms contribute and fix it (sorta like wikipedia) but there is some nostalgia to Gossamer being like a giant encyclopedia from the 1990s...
This is what it has for Split the Lark: Rated NC-17 | 119K | Category SA | Archived 03-08-31

Summary:
LOL . So informative!
If you so bother to click the link (only on the notion that Syntax6 might be a decent writer due to work volume and length) you get
"Split the Lark" is rated NC-17 for sexual situations and
adult subject matter. The violence here is muted. However,
StL is also rated SA, for Super Angsty.
StL departs from canon after "Je Souhaite." It is set summer
of 2001.
It's really hard to see season 6 Scully getting raped for some reason. Like not saying it's not possible, and Syntax6 writes it so well-- and M and S are in an early but established sexual relationship in this story-- I managed to barely pull out of S1/2 Scully and imagine S6 Scully in the scenario presented.
Maybe it's the youth of Scully in s1/2. She seems more... green and fragile at that stage. Not yet battle hardy. No fool - but still sweet and innocent.
I had no idea it was coming so when it happened; I realised I very well couldn't back out of the story - I was now hooked.
There's even a decent casefile involving a super soilder-like storyline that isn't as eye rolly as what CC put on screen (I'm starting to get back into casefile fic after all that AU).
To think that someone put this much effort into writing a great story and not get paid. They must have really enjoyed it.
Wasn't sure what the hell I was walking into with this one, but I fully enjoyed it.
I'm onto another not-described-at-all Syntax6 story "Head Over Heels" All the descriptor says is Per Manum alternate universe...
