Here on Gossamer - Just scroll on down to an amazingly tender yet action packed 15 part series that takes readers down the road that answers the question: what if M and S decided to take on 2 kids and become an insta-family.
It's a single writer fanfic (She doesn't thank a Beta either) that utilises first person POV-- and switches characters throughout with clear boundary lines - to keep it simple.
ArcardianFall$ created a list of original characters: there are the original kids adopted-
Josh (quiet and introspective)
Astrid (loud and bright
Their much older sister - Jaqueline, and her host of romantic engagements and other "created children" which get entangled in an x-files style genetic plot masterfully crafted.
AND the author is Australian. A few clues: her email address ends in .au and of course: parts 8 and 9 involve a family trip to New South Wales. My dream. An X-file over here <3
There's a tonne of action related parts.
Somehow Arcadian makes family life work within the scaffold created by CC and then takes the story further (which is what makes the series so good, you can literally- go anywhere).
It culminates in a gripping part 15 where they realise Hannah (in a sense like William) is coveted by the rebels for her genetics -- I won't spoil it - but the manner in which this was resolved was very creative and bittersweet.
The story wraps up in a way where no one is left hanging, but should Arcadian Fall$ choose to pick up the reigns again, her characters are all ready and waiting to be taken for a ride.
The romance overall is rather chaste
I'd do a score card except it hits A+ for me on all levels, thus creating a moot card. ah here it is anyway-

Characterisation of original characters: A
Story line: Does A+++ exist?
Smut: (ok could have used more I suppose, so A-)
Overall writing: A+
