I was informed today, by a 2IC from SRES --
That the event, which had 62,000 people on some days - was at the time, due to covid being so non-existent in Australia (practically) such that, this event was the largest in the world : at that time.
That is mindblowing. I've got a video of me driving a buggy at the show. I'll post it.
It was epic.
Just imagine all around the world: people are still scared to leave their houses except for necessities. And here I am. At a massive carnival with tonnes of people, and social distancing is not really a thing (too many people) and everyone's having a great time.
The world is in hiding still.
We have it so good.
I forget how lucky we are.
Today the ICC had their first event back.
5,600 pensioners at a free state held concert to encourage them to come out into the city and enjoy the Harbour and it's amenities at Tax payers expense.
