The Telly obsession
Apr. 19th, 2021 09:36 pmWhen I was re-watching and re-obsessing with xf to get away from my workstress, i watched a total of 3.5 episodes a day after work, and 10 episodes on my 2 days off a week. (Which meant I was able to watch seasons 1-11 in roughly 6 weeks).
At 45 minutes per episode I calculated that to be:
(3.5*45/60)5+(10*45/60)2
which ended up being 30 hours in a week
(and when you work 38 hours that makes you start to consider what is your actual job: watching The X-files or working for money-- and it also makes you wonder how much better of a midwife you would be if you were reading journal articles or attending courses rather than watching the telly).
To then find out that the so called average american watches 34 hours of telly a week.

Just.
Yeah.
So glad I'm outta that phase right now.
