Surprisingly, a lot fewer side effects (no heavy arm) than the 1st. I think I used the arm pain as an excuse to stay in bed. Maybe I was lethargic but I reckon it was the excuse.

In any case this time around it's been more like nothing happened.

It was worse this time because I didn't skip the first que and feigned stupidity like last time.

The first que alone took 30 minutes. For them to then ask me "have you been to QLD in the last week; and are you feeling well today". Jeeze. You made me wait 30 mins to ask me this question. If you just wanted to stagnate the que -- there surely could have been a better way to have arrange this. What if I had been to QLD? I just had 30 mins of my time wasted.

Anyhow. Then there were 3 more lines to get through, 10-20 mins each it felt like.

and back to that lecture theater from my student days with the creepy meditation music.

I timed myself in the wait room post the vaccination - because the person monitoring us clearly didn't seem to care.

I got a free kitkat (not like I need more junk, seriously).

and eventually I was free to go back to the kid who was hit by a car at 60kmph and only had (severe) jaw fractures. I got teased for barely working all day-- skipped 2 hours for the vaccine -- then my pt went to OT for open fixation at approx 16:00 and I wandered around trying to help until 20:00.

Honestly. I understand that the occurrence for the blood clot thing with the Astrazeneca vaccine is no greater than the statistic surrounding blood clots in the general population;but reading about the type of clotting disorder the man in victoria has would completely put me off wanting to get AstraZenica (AZ) vaccine. If I didn't have a high risk job with covid in the hallway down from me I would seriously consider waiting until I could get another brand. 1:100,000. No one ever thinks they will be the one. But what if you are the one? You could end up in ICU for weeks.

In anycase, I was lucky - and had the pfizer. But my mate Abs (in the hospital 6km away, but different district) got AZ. Mates at SSH are getting AZ also.

I have a tonne of sick leave but I'm not that keen to use it... rather just let it accumulate thank you very much.

I'm not sure I'm keen for P to get AZ. His Fam history has factor V leiden.
