Complaint from OT

on Monday,
First time in 9 years, right.
The story starts on Sunday when I was given a PCA that was defunct, and when I returned it to OT for a new one i was informed that *I* would have to do the paperwork to get it fixed.
The system has changed since I left, so I was a little miffed that I would need to figure that out somehow -- and yes I forgot, left the machine on a table- didn't put a sign on it - so someone sent it back to OT where they are stored.
Low and behold this comes back to bite me on the butt on Monday when I'm in a cluster (we work in teams but they call them clusters for some reason) - three of us in a corner, all intubated.
And just our luck, 2 of the team were to go for a vaccination at the **Same time** (who decided this was a good idea, was beyond me). We had Mr loves-to-extubate everyone as the consultant this shift (lucky for us) so all 3 were extubated before the 2 RNs went for vaccination leaving me with these 3.
The mad rush to extubate, and have everything sorta sorted so I could just have to do satellite obs to hold down the fort whilst they were away was insanity.
That's when ICU wanted to start a new PCA on one of the extubated, and of course: what machine do we get?
The broken one.
We don't have time for to call, and get the ward assistant to swap it and yadda yadda-- so I go over there and ask for a new one, broken one in hand. And when I said, "So you want me to put in (that repair form that I still hadn't figured out)" the reply was:
"Where do you get this attitude from?"
And I replied well if you need me to put in a form I can do it, I just need a machine for now...
after which she asked what unit I work for, which I said.
And the fact that I wear a really clear badge that says my name on it came back to bite me on the butt.
Cause an hour later the incharge said "heads up Rita, OT put a complaint to the big boss about you and she'll come around to speak to you later".
She never came, and I've had days off since.
I'd like to apologise to my boss that she would have to deal with OT.
If she made me apologise to OT I would.
But if it wasn't an insane day,-- or if I had put a sign on the damn thing the day before - this probably could have been avoided.
What a petty argument.
OT is full of bitches (I promise it's not only I who says this).
They can have my apology. If they had enough time to complain then they would have had enough time to do the form.
*rolls eyes so hard*. Meanwhile my poor boss... I'm not worried.
First in 9 yrs, they can suck it. (course my apology would sound extremely sincere, but inside... ).
The nice incharge did the form so I still don't know how to do it. The things I need to re-learn...
