Cunegund's Restoration by Livia Balaban
Jan. 11th, 2021 09:48 amAfter my late shift at SSH yesterday I happened to run upon the fancake recommendation by Wendelah - and her fantastic review had me thinking yeah. I could use some popcorn candy coated covering well-written hooha that neatly tied up every aspect of X-files requiem in my life.
The description was accurate.
I'm still picking out the candy from my teeth.
My only criticism was the Scully voice was much like Mulders for most of it, and that was slightly hard to chew. Easier to chew was how Livia neatly wrapped up every single plot in the entire series.
---and realistically too.
Thats whats so amazing about the x-files fandom.
I don't think CC intended it to become a romance but it so obviously was going to head that way if the show went on for any length of time beyond 3 seasons: and it is so broad and narrow at the same time, that literally any manner of endings is a possibility.
My second criticism was that it was rather short.
But short is sweet, and something I have time for whilst officially now juggling two specialties.
You'll find it at :
Cunegund's Restoration by Livia Balaban has an apt second title: The Best of All Possible Worlds
Wouldn't make my top 10s list but was extremely entertaining for a lovely period of time.
