It's c-section central at SSH tonight.

Bed 9 [IOL, epidural, fetal brady, section] - note deflexed OP on ultrasound. What do you do with deflexed op? change position... can you do that with an epidural, not really no.

Then
Bed 12 [40+3, IOL because "shes in the hospital and in EL" - and ?reduced FM, failure to progress despite P3, epidural- not good enough - GA section] -- question. Should she have been an IOL? At 40+3 and having had 3 previous babies normally... you'd think she would have just cracked on and had the 4th. We were all shocked she was still there, and no more than 3cm from when I had left >16 hours previously.

- a normal in bed 4 (shocker it was a p0/first timer)

Then, a private came in for decreased FM x1 presentation 1:10 tightenings --
she was due for a section anyway; and here we sit...

Making this section number 3 of the night.

That makes our cesar rate 75%

WHO states it should be 10%

In general; overall, Australia sits at about 36%

They rushed us to OT; - my woman hasn't been shaved, no IDC, my emat or notes not done. and yet here I've sat for the last 40 mins, with her, waiting. emat and notes now done. I'm babysitting the CTG.

Meanwhile I could have been in MAC, snacking my fat little butt off. but no.

I started reading another penumbra fic.

This one starts off horridly (think suicide)- and strangely predictive of s10-s11 with Scully at 65 yrs of age; but I'm hooked to see where it goes. Its not as descriptive as her master peice (Parabiosis) so it's interesting to see a different tone.
