It's so bad - I can't even remember if I saw them alive on the weekend.

It's definitely related to neglect.

Also quite probably related to me having the top part of the tank over sealed.

Feels like a symbolism of my own inner turmoil regarding work for the last few weeks.

Long commute taking its toll means I spend 5-10 hours in the car, loosing joy in cooking. Work and relationship stressors, culminating in other areas of my life being neglected. It's not a great feeling when one's fish dies.

They were nice fish.

One white and One red.

The white one was called Mulder and the red one was called Scully.

I had hopes to build them a pond in the backyard when they got bigger.

I'll clean up the tank, and get a new set of Mulder and Scully (the second); and start again on the dream of my pond.
