The bullied story continued
Oct. 1st, 2020 07:12 am So remember how I said the woman was "bullied into fully" and in that moment as I was leaving, I thought "you go girl, you show them".
Well right after I left the CTG turned pathological, which means the trace suggested the baby was stressed and therefore.
It started with a trial of forceps in OT.
Then it became a c-section under GA (presumably because the epidural wasn't effective enough at the time to do the procedure without the woman feeling it *shudders* -- and you know, they feel the pulling and pushing too).
So she was fully, but then it just didn't happy because the baby was suspected to be not well; and/or the woman couldn't push hard enough to get it out fast enough (possibly C-section related: limited positioning, reduced feeling below the waist) -- we had the augment running by that stage for at least 3 hours so it would have been working ...
After all that, I can't imagine her disappointment.
At least the notes said the baby was fine.
