My thoughts on the USA election

It's not just me in this world and other people are having problems in their own country far worse than my own. Australia has an amazing democracy. It's pretty boring around here. The worst thing that might happen politically is that the head dude changed (aka. a prime minister is ousted for someone else in the same party) and even so, people might grumble a little here or there but no one gets out guns and starts riots or anything.
If Trump could win once, he can win again.
If you don't have everyone mandatory voting (as we do in Australia) then voter turnout itself will play a huge key in the result.
Polls mean nothing if the person you poll then doesn't follow through with a vote.
So what's the point of looking at the polls, if these people who get polled don't vote?
Plus if Biden is the best you guys can come up with -- despite a population of 350 million people, what hope do we have?! He's so old. He looks like he's going to keel over at any moment.
Let's be realistic. Is the USA ready, now, for a "woman president" (if Biden dies) let alone someone who isn't white? I was really quite shocked that so many in the USA hated Clinton so much. Do people like Harris enough to be okay with that senario should Biden not live long enough?
They were playing a comparison of the messages of the Biden campaign v the Trump campaign and it sounded like Biden's campaign was very dark and realistic and horrid (many Americans dying our country is in trouble etc) and Trump was on some sort of candy high (we're great! we're beautiful!). They're running very different campaign.
When I watch the TV it literally looks like Trump opened his closet and pulled out everything that he wore in 2016 -- the hat -- and just took out all the same posters from under his bed to re-use for this campaign. Like nothing has changed. He looks heaps more like the solid candidate. His dancing is terrible but its youthful.
I've got some cider and fudge in which to drown my sorrows as I plan to do the mandatory training all the managers have been banging down on us for (and yet isn't it funny that most of the work computers can't play this supposed "mandatory" training we have to do --- on OH and S and other such similar half useless topics -- and some actually useful topics, btw not all of it is crap).
It seems pointless to watch the election coverage now also. Its 14:52 now and supposedly it won't be called for another 12 -24 hours.
I have a friend from San Francisco that's been saying that Biden's a sure thing from 3 weeks ago.
She's even working the election, putting ballots through the machines.
I told her she's living in a bubble.
I guess in 12-24 hours we shall see.
I still think it'll be super close and that Trump will win. By a hair.
It's almost like he's ?God or the Devil? Some sort of unassailable being. He hasn't changed his campaign message/his hat or his signs. He just stands there and dances like an idiot. He has no money, he's full of debit, he's full of shit, yet people vote for him or his party. Like... what is this... Do people actually think it's okay for this buffoon to represent your nation? I guess that's true freedom. That literally anyone, can lead it.
