Elizabeth Crawling straight across the kitchen to the box of toys near the piano, approx 5m away. Full bee-line for it. Lolz.

Other proud moment. There was some screaming cause I was ignoring her at bedtime while I put up the side of her cot but now she's sleeping peacefully in it after 2 months of me doing a Jimmyrig of a job anything the cot with one side down against the bed and jamming the space with a thick blanket to make it flush. Not quite safe sleeping but when your desperate safe enough is safe enough.

Now. There is no chance to co sleep with the current configuration. Its a cot. All sides up and I'm in a bed no rails not against a wall.... Just on its lonesome.

Bit tight with all the built in wardrobes and the under bed drawer space but it is so nice to be able to access the draws under the bed now! All 4 of them on all sides.

Let's hope this can be kept up. Its step 2 in my plan to get Elizabeth in a cot, in Wendys room and me over there in the sofa bed.

Step one was for her to just sleep in the cot (side down) since we had a terrible transition from the bassinet which ended up with co sleeping as an interim solution but she's just too mobile now and with my brain space taken up by her older sister and other commitments I fear I will more easily drop the ball. And as the child and family nurse said, how would you feel if she fell over?

That being said sleep has been slightly better overall. I think it's due to her eating well. Breastmilk really isn't enough for her anymore and she's really taken to finger foods. Roast veggies she ate about 4 peices of zucchini and squash. I'm going to have to buy more. And 2 peices of mango. Half a strawberry. That seems like a lot for an 8month old.

In comparison to Wendy photos show around Bothis age, sans 10 days, she was standing up. Must have been pull to stand because I don't believe in really assisting them with it. firstly once you do it for them then they expect you to always do it. Secondly I want to encourage confidence by letting them do it themselves.
And it all starts with the bottom. Much easier to just not ever do it then do something and then wind it back.

I'm writing this post from my phone and I think autocorrect is making it largely not too Unenjoyable.

Wendy's moment of the day
She was just so happy I brought her an umbrella to use on the way home and let her carry it onto the bus and off the bus and to the house. She refused to use the toilet and then when I made her she did a giant poop. Sesame street's letter of the day was c.

Its another bedtime later than I'd hoped.
