Cinnamon toast

I watched some dumb video about a 20 something year old boy spending time with his grandma and eating everything she ate in a day. One of the things she ate was a slice of cinnamon toast each day.
It reminded me how when I was 8, for mother's day I decided to pick cinnamon toast out of a kids cookbook to make because it looked easy, I didn't have to buy any complicated things nor ask for help to make it. My mother, in all her asiannesa seemed not to understand what cinnamon toast was, or the significance of any of it.
I haven't made cinnamon toast since.
I can't wait til Wendy brings me some dumb gift for mother's day. I don't care if it's buttered toast. Actually, I won't care if it's plain bread with nothing on it. I plan to make some bang up big deal about the bread and ask her how she knew I liked bread so much...
